piece #1






it's just a start.

but oh well. i havent used graphite/pencil in a while and i'm kindof pleased.


update: still not finished [i have to wait until the super secret model is back in town, aka saturday] but mostly. the flash makes it look worse :[

Ingres was a master dreaftsman. You should look at his work. His line was so natural.
Your drawings are not quite there because you are forcing yourself to do them. Instinct and memory is important in drawing. Think about the figure in your mind then put it down on paper.
The mind and the eye become acustomed to the lines and proporions of the human figure. With enough practice proportion becomes second nature. Like driving a car, your eyes judge the exact distance you maintain between the car in front of you then the brain selects the right speed. After enough practice you no longer have to think about how fast or how close to the car in front you must be. Same with draftsmanship. Also, technique is as important as proportion. Let it flow, you're trying too hard copy what you see. You must feel it before you can master it.
