this is my most recent sketchbook assignment...and i kind of like it, but it seems a little unbalanced. [it is for "comfort" and the things in the background are people _hugging_ and in the foreground it is a graphite sketch of a teabag...all of it was painted in four different teas except the acrylic outline and the first [of many] layers of the background, which was a light wash of pinkish red]

Monica- Work on creating that contrast with the background. This is a portfolio piece for sure, just keep at it. Is the image at the top of your blog you?
I would have never thought of paitning with tea before! Thats so creative. I was considering doing comfort for my concentration, but now I'm glad I decided not to or else we would have the same portfolio haha! Did you ever check out that artist from my artistic heroes in my sketchbook that you liked??
